Huanggang Port Tower sits in the Shenzhen Technology and Innovation Park, creating a 250-meter super-tall office tower for Shenzhen Port. It is set to be an effective, flexible, and energy-efficient iconic tower. Surrounded by the landscape, the design draws inspiration from the rivers and stacking stones.
Simple fluid architectural form signifies the flowing water, while the entrance canopy of the office tower signifies the splashes. The lobby adopts a 13-meter-tall transparent glass panel wall, penetrating the cornerstone and bringing vitality to the city. The façade is comprised of four arcs that face the urban interface as a vibrant architectural form and optimize the landscape view. An outdoor garden is created on the crown, overlooking the unobstructed view of Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
The design has achieved high efficiency that optimizes the resources and traveling time. To create a low-carbon tower, the tower adopts low-E glass panels while the vertical fins provide sufficient shading. The design has also put the flying route of birds into consideration, maintaining the ecological system of Lok Ma Chau.
