Breitwieser teamed up with one of the leading Austrian industrial designer Rainer Mutsch to develop the first washbasin without a visible syphon using the patented technique by Austrian company Wonda. The individual characteristics of Ono and Ana are defined by their edges communicating the captured ambient light. Despite the minimalistic formal language, the design accomplishes to evoke emotions.
Archaic design places special emphasis on the material
Mutsch’s experience in marlbe processing enabled made it possible to push the CNC milling technology to an absolute limit by reducing the material thickness down to a minimum. The result is an ultra slim basin without any visible syphon on the bottom side.
The collection consists of the oval shaped Ono and the rectangular shaped Ana. Each one available as single, a double washbasin and hand washbasin in various natural stone materials.
Technical innovation and noble material united in an optimal formal language
The introduced Wonda hidden syphon system provides a new planning possibilities in spatial solutions and simplifies the usage in public spaces.
