With a height of 146 metres, the high-rise building holds the current height record in Munich and is the tallest building and third tallest structure in the city.
The architects Ingenhoven and Overdiek erected the new building on Georg-Brauchle-Ring within three years. At 146 metres, the tower is the highest building in Bavaria. After the high-rise was completed in 2004, it was equipped according to a modern workplace concept and offers space for 2,400 workplaces spread over 37 floors. Since then, the building has been a landmark on the Munich skyline and has become an integral part of the Munich cityscape.
Telefonica Deutschland has its headquarters in the building, which is also evident from the large O₂ logos on both sides of the tower. These weigh 500 kilograms each. The glass façade of the building contains circular ventilation elements which are used as windows and thus allow natural ventilation.
