The project, located on the northwestern edge of the new Champ de Manœuvre district in Nantes, is part of a natural and historical environment, rich in biodiversity, both in terms of the fauna and flora.
Today, the Champ de Manœuvre is called upon to change in order to accommodate a new district. The main challenge of the urban project is to succeed in creating a balance between built-up areas and natural areas. The project foresees the construction of two residential buildings with a total of 39 dwellings (from type 1 to type 6).
The built volumes have been thought-out in order to open the appartements to the exterior as much as possible by means of loggias, balconies and terraces. Our project was conceived valuing the site’s past and its existing landscape characteristics while also taking into account the problems of resource depletion and global warming that marks our era.
