Project description: Senexpan is a housing prototype that provides for the possibility that its inhabitants gradually lose physical, cognitive, or sensory abilities. All the accessibility solutions that may be necessary throughout old age are integrated from the beginning of the project.

They will be used or activated according to the needs of their inhabitants at all times, thus allowing the elderly to feel autonomous, active and continue to perform the tasks of daily life with their existing skills. Independence will be given as a choice in a familiar and comfortable home.

As a configuration element of the space, the handrail is used, essential in any project focused on the elderly. But, it is endowed with content, it becomes a storage module and accessibility generator element.

The railing runs through all the rooms of the house continuously. The rooms follow one another in a linear way, arranged according to the degrees of privacy necessary for each use.

This project has already received awards on the merits of Accessibility.
