Project description: Cacabey Astronomy Madrasa in Kirsehir is one of the oldest known observatories. In this context, the project is aimed at being one of the landmarks of Kirsehir, which has hosted astronomy research from the past to the present.
Kirsehir Observatory; The Project proposes a form that supports public life stretching between the Neset Ertas Cultural Center and the Asık Pasa Mosque.
In addition to the relations of these different functions with each other, their relations with open and public spaces are also important issues to tackle.
Planethouse proposes a linear formation connecting the Cultural Center and the Mosque along Terme Street.
The observation courtyard in the middle of the building was integrated into the city with the symbolic space opening to the street, and different function groups were fed from the space.
The gap to the city, respectively, is enriched with a reflection pool and an open-air show area and connected to the Culture Park.
