Don Bosco building is part of a vast medical-social campus. It’s intended to host thirty children with special needs, divided into three groups, one on each floor.
Following the limits of the existing building, a wooden structure is developed on the south elevation. It gives each floor access to a sunny terrace.
The interior brings simplicity and clarity to the general layout. Those elements are essential for the well-being of autistic children.
The bedrooms are located on the quiet sides, on the west and north part of the plan allowing the living spaces to face the garden and the horizon on the east and south sides.
The lobby is located at the center of the building, at the meeting point of the east-west and north-south circulation axes.
The basement is transformed into a garden floor, hosting activities rooms that extend naturally onto the exteriors.
