The new volume of the outdoor market and the exhibition hall will create a strong dialogue with the Rue de la République, and further on, with the Chauny town hall, while linking the three existing buildings and creating a strong signal for the people of Chauny.

The future square will benefit from a new synergy between the urban fabric and landscape, and the new outdoor canopy.

Its simple and elegant form and the use of wood as the main structural element will give the project a language that is both pure and unified, as well as contemporary.

A canal will be created in connection with the Rive, crossing the basement of the marketplace, resulting in a facility dedicated to relaxation and contemplation, designed to offer pontoons, terraces, and ample seating.

In the face of the sixth mass extinction of living organisms, the preservation of wetland biodiversity is a major territorial challenge.
