I-CONO is a temporary pavilion that was built in occasion of the Festival de Arquitectura y Ciudad Mextròpoli 2018. 2500 containers have been employed for the construction of the building. The containers have been assembled in concentric circles whose diameters has been gradually reduced as the building goes up: 10 m diameter for the ground and 7 m diameter for the highest point, and a total height of 6.5 m.
The containers were filled with water, which offers visitor a unique sensorial experience where all the exterior elements — light, shadow, sound and color — are modified and filtered by the fluid. The pavilion has been then dismantled and it has been permanently reconstructed at the entrance of Huerto Roma Verde, in Colonia Roma.
