Project description: Modular theater, music school, dance and gym rooms, and a dojo. The project reconciles livability, budget control, and contribution to sustainable development:
- The tight financial envelope prohibits any superfluous surface, which leads to maximum compactness of the volume and pooling of circulation spaces.
- The overhangs of the first floor, imposed by a certain imbalance of areas between entities, offer protection from the rain for the forecourt and from the summer sunshine for the facades of the ground floor.
- The control of light and airflow contributes to user comfort by aiming to erase temperature peaks and to maximize the sanitary quality of the air through renewal.
- The bias to use materials that are most often left raw, and therefore free from fragile treatments or coatings, helps to achieve a sustainable building, requiring little maintenance.
