The project is about the construction of a new building as a multi-purpose/ celebration room in the town of La Norville.
The plan consists of three volumes, namely two technical wings which surround one main high-ceiling room to the north and south.
Indeed the great room has been inspired as a modular room where the two ends can be opened outwards, finding its function as much in village hall events but also as a space that can accommodate gatherings ranging from weddings to seminars.
A massive wood carpentry structure is holding a zinc roof. As a part of this structure, both accesses to the room are approved by carved wooden columns, hand-sculpted by Arnaud Depeyre.
The program is about celebration, the idea to include interpretations of decorative elements from festivities, architecture typologies, ornamental giant curtains, sculpted columns, and the visible structure is a part of this process.
