Project description: The project involves the expansion by three new floors of a building constructed in 1970. It is located on an infill development site in contact with two adjoining buildings.
The structure of the elevation was made of wood. The windows overlooking the street have been enlarged to make the apartments brighter and the façade more aesthetically pleasing.
To echo the proportions of others in its neighborhood, it does not exceed the height of the adjoining buildings.
The facade of the proposed extension, while respecting the architectural style of the original structure and the general restraint of the first four existing floors, stands out because of its different treatment, with a golden Alucobond cladding.
The building has a green roof, planted to help protect the environment and fight against global warming. The roof will contribute to the enhancement of the neighborhood, improve the insulation of the building, and allow the retention of rainwater while providing a refuge for biodiversity.
