Izmir, Turkey
As designing the project, which is located on one of the main arteries of Izmir, urban and environmental factors were taken into account. The industrial fabric in the history of the region and the relationship between occupancy and void shaped the paradigm of the design. As creating the mass identity, the team focused on two main volumes, the living area and the secondary facade.
The five main elements, steel, concrete, wood, glass, and green, are used in the design. In the building, residential functions work along with commercial functions. Besides, the social areas and the swimming pool on the roof terrace provide recreation opportunities to the users on a building scale.
With the regular arrangement of the irregular, modular secondary facade, the building's mass is given an identity, and a sustainable life is envisaged in the whole building by ensuring that each house is in direct contact with the vertical green texture.
