Gavalas Architects – Greece
Antonis Gavalas was born in Athens in 1979. Studied with distinction Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1997-2002). Received a Full scholarship by “Lilian Voudouri Foundation” for MA in Environment & Energy Post-graduate studies at the Architectural Association, School of Architecture in London (2002-2003). He worked as an architect and environmental consultant at Hamilton Associates (now Grid Architects & Apt Architects) in London (2003-2005), occupied mainly with private residential, office and masterplanning projects. He is a Tutor of Sustainable Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Patras. Collaborates as an external jury member with the Greek Center of Renewable Energy Sources (CRES) on public sector bioclimatic proposals assessment. He has presented his work on various international conferences in Greece and Great Britain as well as architectural competitions and he is a scientific articles author at Building Green Magazine.
