Alexandros Zomas studied architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and at the School of Architecture of Paris-LaVillette as an erasmus exchange student. In 2012 he graduated from the PostGraduate Course “Space, Culture, Design” at the National Technical University of Athens. Alexandros is currently a PhD candidate at the National Technical University of Athens where he is teaching architectural studios as an assistant. He is interested in the material expression of architecture and landscape and its integration in a constantly evolving urban context. In 2015 he co-founded micromega, an award-winning architectural practice based in Athens.
The office has won various awards among which the1st Prize at the architectural competition for the Municipal Market of Halkida (currently in progress), 1st Prize for the new Office of Public Power Corporation, Best Project at the Domes Awards 2018, and 6 prizes at 100% Hotel show for Casa Cook Kos.
