Grips for lure fishing are roughly divided into two types. One is a simple fixed grip that is glued through the rod shaft, called a blank-through grip. The other is a highly functional grip that is safe and comfortable for the user, designed to reduce strain on the hand by considering the overall balance of the reel, shaft, and hand when gripping. Many of the products that are human-centred, as described have detachable grips and fishing rod shafts.
Some detachable grips have a handle shape that is slightly bulged to make it easier to hold, but in reality, they are only designed with decorative patterns, and functionally they are at the same level as inexpensive grips. Nevertheless, there are products such as ergonomic mix designs that take the shape of the hand into consideration, but in reality they are not mature shapes. ARCHISTRIAL DESIGN's BIONOMICS GRIP has been developing and manufacturing grips based on the BIONOMICS CONCEPT.
