Foxtron Model B is a B-segment electric car designed by Pininfarina for Foxconn. The focal point of the project was aerodynamics, which is fundamental for an electric car. The Model B has all the characteristics of a car that was born electric: the platform allowed Pininfarina to position the wheels at the four most extreme angles and to make short overhangs.
The interior space, on the other hand, belongs to a car two segments further up thanks to the 2.80 metre wheelbase dedicated to passengers. For the interior, Pininfarina sought the best compromise between quality of materials, style (the original design of the door panels creates a certain dynamism to the cabin) and the rationality of a car designed for large volumes. Pininfarina gave great importance to technology when developing Model B.
All major functions – from climate control to driving mode management – are controlled from a large 15.6-inch horizontal display in the centre of the dashboard, while headlamps and lights connect the cabin with its surroundings thanks to animated graphics that communicate the car’s next moves or even the presence of a pedestrian crossing.
The Model B made its debut in a new graphic design. Drawing inspiration from the iconic logos of Pininfarina and Foxtron brands, the new graphic design of the Model B unveiled in Geneva shows elements that gracefully converge towards the rear, creating a captivating wave that follows the car’s silhouette, evoking a profound sense of dynamism. In the pursuit of purity, the choice of matte white accentuates the sleek and fluid contours of the concept.
