Five years ago the electric scooter industry barely existed.

Today, over 100 million people have ridden one, and millions more are buying their own.

Yet despite this rapid adoption, there has been little innovation on the fundamentals.

Safety is the #1 consumer concern.

And it’s no wonder – after all, e-scooters were originally designed for kids to ride in skateparks.

So, with this in mind, Taur has redesigned the e-scooter.

Taur is the first ‘forward-facing’ design.

It replaces the traditional skateboard-style ‘deck’ – which forces the rider to twist their body – with foot platforms which fold down from the central frame.

This new design is highly intuitive for riders, clearly showing them where to stand, facing forward.

It is 2.

5x wider than the typical standing area too, providing the rider with much improved stability.

This unique design also makes the product smaller, freeing up plenty of space for larger, more roadworthy wheels.

Taur’s 12.

5”, puncture-resistant Continental® tires are 50% bigger than competitor products, gliding over potholes like never before.

Lighting on Taur is no less innovative.

Whereas most rear lighting on e-scooters is low down and difficult to see, Taur focusses an additional LED upwards, illuminating the rider’s entire body from behind.

Since early 2022, Taur runs on fully custom software, dramatically improving the ride experience.

Traction control keeps riders glued to the road.

When braking, the powerful front motor matches the stopping power of the rear mechanical brake – while simultaneously recharging the battery.

Riders can switch performance modes, trading power for up to 40% more range.

And top speed can be geo-restricted in accordance with local regulations.

Ride experience and safety innovations aside, Taur is designed to meet all of consumers’ high expectations.

With its timeless aesthetic, Taur looks great in your home.

At 34 lbs (15.

5 kg), it can be folded and carried anywhere.

For those in tiny apartments, it can be stored in tight corners vertically.

And for added peace of mind, it comes with digital keycard locking and dedicated physical lock points.

Finally, Taur is designed to last.

Aside from its rugged build quality, it is built from 5 core modules which can be shipped independently.

This makes maintenance a breeze.

Taur is the first electric scooter that can be fully maintained by local bicycle repair shops.

The designers believe Taur brings much-needed innovation to this incredible form of sustainable transport.
