When developing the HÅG SoFi series, the designers decided on one key criterion: Embrace difference.

We started looking at workplaces differently: What could empower people to work better? From this question, the HÅG SoFi chair was born.

Incorporating market-leading technology and beautiful aesthetics, the designers created a seating solution that offers a fresh design, supreme comfort, and flexibility.

The designers wanted the SoFi chair to be intuitive and provide optimal variation to users, without the burden of manual adjustment.

We designed a mechanism that could allow people to shift forward as well as backward - to find balance in motion without technical alterations, empowering people to work better, and more instinctively.

The SoFi chair is designed to energize you while minimizing effort, so every detail of the chair takes you further.

The SoFi design range fuses aesthetics and function to produce beautiful and user-friendly solutions.

The designers wanted to make a truly user-friendly and uncomplicated chair that inspires new ways of working and collaborating, a chair that suits people and fits in anywhere.

The back can be upholstered in mesh or fabric.

The mesh, available in grey and black colors, is a warp-knitted, heavy-duty material that uses an innovative yarn construction to give increased strength, providing enhanced comfort, support, and appearance.

The lumbar support is precise and comfortable with padded support that easily adjusts to your body.

The unique armrests slide back, which allows you to move closer to your desk or a table, sit sideways, or to use the armrests as elbow support.

The optional headrest gives you rest and support for shoulders, neck and head.

The HAG SoFi with its dynamic ergonomic features can be used in any space in which a task or work chair is needed including a workstation, private office, executive suite, or work-from-home solution.

The 9to5 Seating quality team inspects finished good products to the applicable quality standard.

Each quality standard includes functional checkpoints and aesthetic checkpoints applicable to the chair type.

Finished good quality stations are located before the packaging resource.

The inspector scans the product label, performs the inspection, and then selects “Pass” or “Fail.” If “Fail” is selected, the inspector logs the type and location of the defect on the product.

The product is then routed to the Rework resource to be repaired.

Once repaired the product is routed back to the main production line where it will go through the Quality inspection checkpoint once again.

All 9to5 Seating products, including SoFi have a limited lifetime warranty.

The components of the HAG SoFi including metals, meshes, and plastics are made of 41% recyclable materials.

Any fabric choice with recycled materials would add to this total.

SoFi has achieved environmental EPD and LCA certifications.

Scrap fabric from the upholstery process of SoFi is recycled.

SoFi is one of the most sustainable task chairs in the US market and is helping every user reduce the impact on the environment.

The number of parts and types of materials used for SoFi models has been reduced to a minimum.

The chair is designed for easy disassembly, so various materials can be separated from each other to facilitate recycling.

Disassembly instructions for all SoFi models are available on the 9to5 Seating website.

The SoFi frames are produced using a fixture to match the finished part with the CAD to avoid any waste or scrap.

The injection molding process for the plastic and foam parts of SoFi is robust and optimized with trials and value-added processes to maximize manufacturing operations and reduce scrap.
