The concept

Ceramic Top is a self-supporting ceramic countertops innovative system, where washbasins can be installed on the left, on the right or in the middle. 

The range includes versions with or without taphole, to install countertop or wall-hung taps, according to user needs.

Catalano Ceramic Top allows a direct installation to the wall, without supporting frames and can be integrated with a single-drawer cabinet, an aluminum structure (floor-mounted or wall-hung) or with a towel rail. Three sizes available: 50x75 cm, 50x100 cm and 50x125 cm.

Design Quality & Aesthetics;

Its shape is based on a quadrangular plan with rounded corners, which highlights its visual lightness thanks to the regress of the supporting volume backward and the reduced thickness of the supporting surface.

Ceramic Top is like a clean canvas where it is possible to design different configurations. At the same time, its technologically advanced features and ceramic properties elevate hygiene to the highest level.

Latest generation production technologies - high pressure molding - assure excellent ceramic quality: perfect flatness of the top and high mechanical strength.

Ceramic Top is designed for the best integration with frames, furniture - which are structurally detached - and special towel rails.

Materials and details, production technology and quality;

Ceramic Top System is made of Fine Fire-clay, high-pressure molded and finished with nanotechnological glaze with silver and titanium microparticles which, after exposure to light, start a disinfection reaction.

The innovative production system includes a high pressure molding system and latest-generation automated presses.

Ergonomics, Functionality, Ease of Use;

“Easy of use” is the core of "Ceramic Top" project. The concept is made up of a large ceramic support surface where to place the washbasin, according to the chosen configuration. The depth of 50 cm allows installing washbasin and countertop tap with a convenient accessibility for both, as well as a large surface area, in asymmetrical or symmetrical way.

Accessibility and safety;

Ceramic Top has also been designed applying the 'ideal' concept of universal design for all end- users. Since it is installed to the wall without supporting frames, it is easily accessible to wheelchair users. The edges of the top are rounded to improve safety.

Sustainability and Lifecycle;

Ceramic Top is a single-material product, so it is easy to disassemble and/or put into a recycling process at the end of its lifecycle.

Unlike some other modern materials usually used in bathroom furniture, ceramics stands out for its durability.
