Exhibition: The European 40/40 2017 Tell a friend
Announcing the best emerging young architects & designers in Europe
The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design are pleased to announce the selection of this year’s most promising and emerging design talent in Europe for 2017.
“The jury selection and process were extremely difficult,” states Ioannis Karalias, President of The European Centre for Architecture Art, Design and Urban studies.
“The jury was presented with hundreds of excellent projects and designs from skyscrapers and large —scale urban planning projects to the highest quality
ndustrial designs for commercial and consumer use. It was difficult to narrow the number down to just 40.“
Spread across Europe, the selected young recipients for the 2017 “Europe 40 Under 40®” come from Austria, France, Greece, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Spain, Netherlands and Turkey.
THE PROGRAM “EUROPE 40 UNDER 40®”: the program is initiated by The European Center as a bi-annual program to spotlight and identify the next generation of architects and designers who will impact future living and working environments,
cities, and rural areas. The program is open to all young architects, landscape architects, urban planners, industrial designers, graphic designers, fashion and textile designers currently under the age of 40, working independently / in a firm / on a specific project as the lead designer.
USEFUL INFORMATION
• “Europe 40 Under 40” exhibition will take place in May 17 th 2018 at the Contemporary Space Athens (74 Mitropoleos Str). Afterwards, the exhibition is planned to be hosted in venues around Europe.
