Harran-urfa, Ankara, Turkey
The building was desired as a primitive building thickness with the vertical blocks' design, which is located in a specific axis by setting the roof on. The design language and attitude that the team considered come from the philosophy of the first mosques; the lack of any aesthetic considerations.
The site is located in South East Anatolian region "harran-urfa," where the hot climate is a rule. Single and combined buildings create a texture that is unique. The creative structure language was made 1000 years ago and was practical a structured ritual in this region.
The team tried to interpret design decisions through awareness of the city and the architectural, cultural, and archaeological traditions of the city and the area. They captured an architectural rhetorical format that is sensitive to the geographical features, climate, ecology, and social life of the city. The team is able to present the project's unique approach in contemporary conditions by revealing the stereotype to use his characteristics that exist in the regional geography.
