Paris, France

The architectural sobriety of the project articulates the street's suburban identity and the rationalist expression of the former blocks of housing. The writing of the facade is thought of as a hyphen between the different scales and periods of the surrounding buildings.

The regular architectural frame expresses the constructive rationality of the building in all its simplicity. A thorough work on the hues and textures of the concrete sophistic his image. Resulting from a precise choice of aggregates in the quarries of the Parisian basin (St Maxime, etc.), the white concrete is naturally colored by the fine particles which give it a familiar hue, close to the stone traditionally used in Paris. Although very smooth, a subtle difference in concrete texture makes appear a descent facade, changing according to the light.
