Following the earthquake of April 16 in 2016, the villages of the Ecuadorian coast south to rebuild and revive the local economy. The project then represents a new attractiveness for the inhabitants and the tourists, showcasing the local gastronomy.
The proposed building is divided into two separate holes. Their special arrangement creates a route allowing visitors to cross the side while discovering the region's culinary specialties.
Due to the adjacent streets opening, two meeting and relaxation places are then produced: the multi-use entrance plaza and the playground. This playground is dedicated to the children of restaurant owners and the families of the visitors. It is a space of freshness by the presence of misted water and dense tropical vegetation.
Each of the shaded halls includes ten kiosks in the restaurant area for 60 people organized around a green-planted patio. A principle of the double roof ensures the natural ventilation of the hole.
This reconstruction project is simple, low-budget, and going to implement. The materials used and inexpensive are obtained from local resources, bamboo, wood, pallets. Designed in accordance with the expectations of feature users, this building is a result of a social participatory process.
