Around the actual park is a series of monuments and institutions from which the New “Maison du Patrimoine” is inspired to build its new identity: the Castle, the Convent, the Sainte-Croix Institute.
Like them, the New “Maison du Patrimoine” now has a clear outward limit and creates his own intimate, protected space. This garden surrounds the library and connect the museum, which now inhabits it.
Following the example of its neighbors, the project changes its expression according to its surroundings and brings together historical periods and architectures in the same setting plural.
Its perimeter became a low and light enclosure that welcomed its new public and museum functions by revealing its underground hold.
The project is 4.600 m2. It was completed in 2019 and the associated architects were Dreier & Frenzel Architecture, Jean-Benoît Vétillard.
