The project consists in the rehabilitation of an old turning factory of 1910, into a natural history museum. The collection of embalmed animals, rich and, strikes by his subject’s diversity coming from their geographical origin, size and rarity. The intervention on existing buildings aims to bring up the issues concerning heritage as a mission. The intervention highlights the constructed heritage by the reinterpretation of the existing structural elements of the factory. As a matter of fact, the simplicity and purity of the interior spaces offer a real spatial quality that allows great flexibility for the future intervention.  From a conservator point of view, the molding on the façade reminds the turning tradition, typical in the area, and witnesses its memory, a massive stone colonnade is our major contemporary measure. Following this principle, we permanently aspire to use suitable and reasonable measures in order to increase both the intrinsic qualities of the factory and the richness of the collection. Every visitor, either novice or well-informed, will find a meaning to his experience.
