Massive stone Housing building - Francis Jacquier
Geneve, Suisse
This housing project is a statement. It tries to demonstrate the real feasibility on a large scale constructions using natural materials, and most of all, on an social purpose. Facades and the entire internal structure of the 2 buildings are composed by massive stone wall in shape of crown. The architectural anesthetic is rational, simple and frugal because the material told us to do so.
The plan is composed with a series of solid stone walls forming the principal structure while conferring an exceptional comfort to the apartments, enjoying at the same time the thermal inertia and climatic comfort given by the crossing apartments.
