With the growing pressures of consumer society, many good-quality materials are thrown away. At building sites in particular, much of the wastage could be rather upcycled. KKA’s furniture designs demonstrate products that do not come at the cost of sustainability, as they are built using scrap materials.
In the 1950’s, IKEA revolutionized the furniture industry with affordable designs that allowed customers to self-assemble furniture flat-packs. KKA took this idea one step further by providing illustrated instructions for anyone to download, and then build their own chairs using waste materials.
