Côme Ménage, READ Architecture Design DPC, France

He founded his practice, ReAD (www.Re-AD.com), in 2017 in France and in Brooklyn, New York, where he lives. He and his practice are dedicated to the conception and realization of architectural and cultural interventions that revitalize historic structures and neighborhoods.

Côme graduated in 2007 from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Architecture Paris La Seine, in what was the only architecture atelier embedded among the fine arts programs of the Beaux Arts school of Paris—inspiring his interest in collaborating with fine artists and craftsmen. He arrived in New York in 2009, initially to study for the Master of Science in Urban Design from Columbia University’s GSAPP. Côme worked for the French firm AS.Architecture-Studio and then during 5 years at ODA-New York, where he helped bring the office from a 10-person operation to an 80+ person one.

Côme lives in Brooklyn with his American wife and frequent collaborator, interior designer Megan Grehl, and their two young children. He is a licensed architect and works in New York State, Florida, and other states, as well as in France. He is currently a Lecturer at the University of Miami School of Architecture and a member of the Board of Trustees of the New York Landmarks Preservation Foundation.
