Biography:

Morten Villiers Warren (b.1967, Great Britain) graduated in Furniture & Product Design from Kingston University in 1988 and trained under Philippe Starck in Paris, where he worked on major accounts for Alessi, Swatch, Duravit and Hugo Boss. Relocating to Milan, he worked at highly respected studios including Aldo Cibic and Elio Fiorucci. Under the aegis of these prestigious names he was involved in a number of award-winning projects which elicited world-wide acclaim, including concept car interiors for Fiat. In his early career Morten developed an artisanal approach to design and a passion for natural materials, exquisite craftmanship and fine detail. These were the principles upon which Native was formed in 1997.

In the 11 years since, Morten has grown Native into a 30-strong team and become a highly regarded design industry leader, respected for his visionary creativity, his commercial acumen and his ability to push the limits of the possible and convert brave ideas into groundbreaking and successful reality has become his trademark. 
Morten is the recipient of numerous international design industry awards, including GOOD DESIGN (The Chicago Athenaeum), D&AD and Gold IDEA, and has lectured at major industry seminars including a world tour for the British Council, speaking at Beijing, Bangkok, Bangalore and Sao Paulo Brasil. Morten has nurtured close relationships with global brand leaders such as Audi, Bentley, Bowers & Wilkins, Chanel, Gallotti & Radice Hewlett-Packard and Motorola, creating iconic designs with transformative results.
